Chatham Area Public Library to fill Trustee Vacancy

Trustee opening on the Boad of Trustees for CAPLD

Are you looking for a way to serve the Chatham community? Do you love our Library and want to continue to see it thrive?  The Chatham Area Public Library Board of Trustees has a position available on their board.  A Library Trustee, along with fellow board members, establishes policies and long-term goals for the library. They understand the Library’s Mission, service roles and its strategic plan, and are able to articulate these to the community.  Does this sound like you?  Anyone interested in the board-appointed position must reside in the Chatham Area Public Library District, is 18 years or older, and a registered voter.

A letter of interest may be sent to the Chatham Area Public Library to the attention of Board President Michael Roubitchek.  Letters of interest must be submitted by Monday, May 9th, and can be dropped off or mailed to the library, or be emailed to Michael Roubitchek, Board President (Library_Board@chathamlib.org). The vacancy will be filled by appointment until the next consolidated election in April 2023.

Applications will be reviewed and candidates may be interviewed by the Board of Trustees, prior to their regularly scheduled meeting, at 6:00 p.m. on May 16th. The trustee position description can be found in the Board of Trustees link on the library’s website, www.chathamlib.org.  Questions concerning the Trustee position may be directed to Michael Roubitchek, Board President (Library_Board@chathamlib.org).
