We currently have one opening at this time: Youth Services Assistant
The Chatham Area Public Library is seeking a part-time Youth Services Assistant that will join our busy Youth Services department. An ideal candidate will recommend books and other materials to children, young adults and caregivers. They conduct a weekly storytime, as well as help plan and execute programming for children of all ages. The perfect candidate will also handle all tasks with energy, creativity, passion and a tad bit of silly. If this sounds like a good fit for you, you might be well-suited for our thriving Youth Services Department.
Preference given to those with some college, especially with the completion of coursework in field of study with focus on children/young adults. Interest in children, creativity & flexibility are necessary attributes.

The planned hours for this position are:
Mondays: 12:15 p.m. - 815 p.m.
Tuesdays: 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Wednesdays: 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Fridays: 8:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.
Every 4th Saturday: 8:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.
Additional Position Details
- Hourly rate range: $17.00 – 18.50 DOE
- Paid vacation, leave and holidays
