Chatham Area Public Library to Hold Winter Weather Preparedness Class

Winter Weather Preparedness

The Chatham Area Public Library will host Trent Thompson, director of the Chatham Emergency Management Agency (CEMA), as he talks about how to be prepared for winter weather on Saturday, November 9 at 10:00 a.m. The Chatham Area Public Library is located at 600 E. Spruce Street in Chatham.

Since we have already experienced snow this fall, it is a great time to come and learn about how to be prepared for the winter weather. What to do in severe weather events such as winter storms, ice, and even tornadoes, as Illinois has seen tornadoes in November in the past few years, will be discussed.Free starter kits of handy items to keep in your car will be available on a first come first served basis. 

The Chatham Area Public Library District provides materials, services, programs, and access to technology to help library users meet their lifelong learning, literacy, and recreational needs.
