Moving Our Digital Collection
In an effort to better streamline our offerings for your digital reading needs, the Chatham Area Public Library will no longer offer cloudLibrary after June 30, 2022. After the 30th, patrons will still have access to Libby, Hoopla and Kanopy. More information about our digital offerings can be found at https://www.chathamlib.org/books-more/digital-library. Our Librarians are working diligently to make the collection even more robust with incredible and popular books.

Can I keep all my holds and favorites from cloudLibrary?
Unfortunately, patron data including holds or saved lists cannot be transferred between platforms. If there is any content that you wish to keep, such as your checkout history, you will need to record that information prior to June 30. If you have titles on hold in cloudLibrary, you will need to place a new hold on the titles in Libby. You can download the titles on Hoopla immediately, no holds necessary.
Will I still have access to all the ebooks and audiobooks that are in the cloudLibrary?
The majority of content will be on Libby, but some older titles or those purchased under outdated licensing models may not. The library is planning to purchase additional titles to increase the number of titles in the collection. Also, Hoopla has a diverse collection of titles that is being refreshed quarterly.
Can I make recommendations for titles on Libby?
Yes! When you search for the title, and it states “We couldn't find any matches for…”, below you will see the book covers typically for both the e-book or e-audiobook versions of the title. If you click on RECOMMEND found below the book covers, Libby will add it to a list of titles for our librarians to review. A few similar titles that are in our collection will also be recommended.
How do I get help to use the Libby app, Hoopla app or Kanopy app?

Can I continue using the cloudLibrary?
All content will remain available through June; however, access to all content will be discontinued after June 30, 2022. In short, if you are in the middle of a book on June 30, you will not have access to finish the book on July 1st or after. If you need help to access that book again through our other e-book services or in print, please let us know. We want to make sure you can finish what you’re reading.
